Understanding Credits
Nexefy Mapper uses a credit-based system where usage depends on the size and complexity of your mapping tasks. This article outlines how credits and credit estimates work, and how to purchase more credits.
How Our Credit System Works
To make pricing fair and transparent, our platform uses a credit-based system. When you subscribe, you receive a set number of credits based on your plan. These credits are used whenever you map documents to frameworks using our software.
Why do we use credits? Each mapping task—whether it’s a single document or multiple frameworks—requires different levels of computation, based on the size and complexity of the task.
Because not all documents or frameworks are the same size or complexity, the credit cost will vary accordingly. For example:
- A short document mapped to a simple framework might use fewer credits.
- A large document mapped to a complex framework may use more credits.
This credit system ensures that you're only paying for the resources you actually use, rather than a one-size-fits-all price.
We’re committed to providing clear insights into your credit usage, so you can plan and manage your mapping needs with confidence.
Do Credits Expire?
Credits never expire - but you do need an active subscription to use them.
As long as your subscription is active, your unused credits will roll over for each billing period. If your subscription becomes inactive, any remaining purchased credits will be suspended, not lost. (Note: This does not include free trial credits, which are not carried over.)
To regain access to your suspended credits, simply reactivate your subscription - they’ll be ready and waiting for you.
How Credit Estimates Work
The credit cost of each map is dependent on the size and complexity of the document and framework. Mapper provides a credit estimate after file upload so you know how much your map will cost before you click Map. This estimate is not exact, and the actual credit amount may vary slightly. Generally the estimate will be a little higher than the actual credit cost.
How to get more credits
Credits can be added to your account by upgrading your subscription.
